Associate Attorney

Our client has an immediate opening for an experienced associate attorney to join its HOA and real estate litigation practice, supporting a senior team with deep institutional knowledge and a long-standing reputation for professional excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the firm and its clients in handling a broad range of HOA-related and real estate litigation matters
  • Represent homeowners associations in enforcement and compliance disputes, assessment collection matters, and interpretation of governing documents
  • Draft and review:
    • Demand letters
    • Pleadings and motions
    • Legal correspondence and enforcement notices
  • Assist with litigation matters from pre-litigation through resolution, including motion practice and hearings
  • Conduct factual and legal research and prepare reports, summaries, and memoranda as needed
  • Organize, maintain, and manage litigation files within the firm's electronic document management system
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to support litigation strategy and case progression
  • Effectively represent the firm and its HOA clients' interests with professionalism and sound judgment

Summary of Ideal Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar
  • 5+ years of experience in HOA, real estate, or civil litigation, with meaningful exposure to HOA disputes
  • Strong knowledge of Arizona HOA statutes, governing documents, and litigation procedures
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and research skills, particularly in pleadings and motions
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop practical litigation strategies
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills with attorneys, staff, and clients
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to learn new substantive legal areas as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented litigation practice
